The Egyptian Theatre in downtown DeKalb needs your help now more than ever! We are looking for volunteers that are fun, enthusiastic, and looking to make a difference in the DeKalb community. The Egyptian can never have too many volunteers. Ticket Validators, Concessions, Ushers, Technical Help, and much more! Please contact the Event Services Director and Volunteer Coordiantor, Brandon, at volunteer@egyptiantheatre.org to find out how volunteering can make a positive difference to our organization.
Beginning this fall, we will be requiring ALL our volunteers, new and returning, to attend at least ONE of the following training/orientation sessions to help us mitigate safety concerns when patrons are in the building. We want our volunteers to be stewards of the Theatre and what better way to do this then by giving a brief history of the theatre, a tour of the facility, as well as the basics of each position! We invite you to attend one of the sessions to learn more about the roles and responsibilities of an Egyptian Theatre volunteer.
The dates include:
- Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 6:30pm-8:00pm
- Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 6:30pm-8:00pm
- Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 6:30pm-8:00pm
- Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 10:00am-11:30am
- Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 6:30pm-8:00pm
- Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 10:00am-11:30am
We hope to see you at one of the orientation dates! For any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to reach out to Brandon at volunteer@egyptiantheatre.org or by phone at (815)758-1215. Although it is not required to RSVP, if you would like to let us know when you are planning to attend, you may do so. Thank you all for your cooperation and participation in advance!
