Theatre Tour with Patrons from 50 Years Ago
Today we gave a special tour to Penny Larson, Pat Cook, and Gina Larson who grew up in DeKalb and hadn’t been back to the Egyptian Theatre in over 50 years.
Pat remembers the last time he was here was for a Tarzan double feature and the tickets were $0.25.
Gina’s mother sold tickets here in the 1940’s.
They all talked about how important the Egyptian Theatre has been in their lives and they expressed their gratitude to the DeKalb community for saving the theatre and continuing to support it.
