Current Projects
Over 40 years have passed since the last major renovation of the Egyptian Theatre started back in 1982. A lot of work has been completed over the past few years but we still have some significant projects ahead of us. In the late 70s, Preservation of Egyptian Theatre (P.E.T.) formed to save the theatre from destruction. Ever since. P.E.T. is here to address the issues that affect this jewel of DeKalb. As with any historic building, there will always be maintenance, restoration, preservation, upgrades and improvements that are needed.
Past Projects
Thanks to the support of the community we have been able to accomplish many projects over the last few years. Preservation of Egyptian Theatre (P.E.T.) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and relies on the support of the community to continue the legacy of this great theatre. Donations are tax deductible and help us not only bring quality performing arts and film programs to DeKalb, but also help with the preservation and restoration of the theatre.
