Hi! I’m Erin Cronin. If I look familiar, you’re not crazy! I was the Spring 2022 Intern for the Egyptian Theatre during my undergrad and I’m back for some more hands-on experience while completing my Master of Public Administration – Nonprofit Management at Northern Illinois University. I graduated in May of 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Nonprofit and NGO Studies and a minor in Social Entrepreneurship. With my background in all things nonprofit, I hope to expand my knowledge and provide the Egyptian Theatre with a new perspective. I’ll be working with the Theatre until May of 2024, when I will graduate with my Master’s degree.
While I may not have been center stage, I have been involved in the arts and theater for as long as I can remember. From starring as Goblin #2 in my local theater’s play to being in the pit for my high school’s production of Guys & Dolls, I’ve seen it all. Music has also been a huge influence on my life and part of the reason I ended up in DeKalb. I’ve played the Baritone since 2011 and picked up the trombone in 2014, leading me to join my high school’s marching band and later make my way to NIU to pursue my passion for nonprofits and march in the NIU Huskie Marching Band. Without the arts, I would not be who I am today, and I am very thankful for every opportunity I was able to receive along the way.
I am so excited to be back at the Theatre and work with so many familiar (and new!) faces. With so many great events coming up, I can’t wait to see what new opportunities come my way.
