The Egyptian Theatre and The Daily Chronicle are proud to present Lightwire Theater, known for their signature brand of dazzling visuals, poignant storytelling and music designed to evoke imagery. “A Very Electric Christmas” will be at the Egyptian Theatre in Downtown DeKalb on Saturday, December 20, 2014 for one performance only at 7:30pm.
Follow the story of a young bird, named Max and his family, as they begin their journey south for the winter. When Max gets blown off course and ends up at the North Pole…his adventure begins! Dancing toy soldiers, caroling worms and performing poinsettias, light up the stage in Lightwire Theater’s A Very Electric Christmas. Audiences of all ages will treasure this magical and captivating tale of family, friendship and hope set to timeless holiday hits, including Nat King Cole, Mariah Carey and Tchaikovsky. Lightwire Theater is internationally recognized for their electroluminescent artistry, poignant story telling and performs in complete darkness. Since their appearance as semi-finalists on “America’s Got Talent” in 2012, Lightwire Theater has been entertaining audiences all over the world with their unique combination of dance, puppetry and technology. Lightwire Theater performed at the Egyptian Theatre in March 2014 with their show “Lightwire: The Show”. After a near sell-out performance the Egyptian Theatre and the Daily Chronicle are excited to bring Lightwire back to DeKalb for their holiday show.
Tickets on-sale starting Friday, October 3. Reserved ticket prices range from $15-$35.
