An Epic Adventure Launches On

March 2, 2014 at Egyptian Theatre in DeKalb

DeKalb, IL – The Egyptian Theatre and The Daily Chronicle are proud to present Lightwire Theater, known for their signature brand of dazzling visuals, poignant storytelling and music designed to evoke imagery.  “LIGHTWIRE: THE SHOW” will be at the Egyptian Theatre in Downtown DeKalb on Sunday, March 2, 2014 for one performance only at 2:00pm.

Audiences of all ages will enjoy this fascinating adventure where birds grow sixteen feet tall, aliens take the life force from other beings and cats fight with light sabers. Follow the story of an exiled young bird and his extraordinary power. Banished from his tribe, he sets off on his own adventure as an alien species seeks to dominate and destroy their planet and perhaps him too. Along the way, he develops an unlikely friendship with an outcast warrior cat and other creatures as they work together to try and save their planet.

Since their appearance as semi-finalists on “America’s Got Talent” in 2012, Lightwire Theater has been entertaining audiences all over the world with their unique combination of dance, puppetry and technology. Lightwire Theater most recently performed at Ferrari World’s “Race as Fast as Light” in Abu Dhabi, as finalists for My TF1’s “The Best Le Meilleur Artiste” in Paris and recently returned home to New Orleans to premiere “Lightwire: A Very Electric Christmas.”

Tickets on-sale now for “LIGHTWIRE: THE SHOW,” featuring 60 “larger-than-light” characters, a creative music score ranging from classical to pop and an epic adventure you won’t want to miss! Reserved ticket prices range from $10.00 – $25.00.  All tickets are available through the Egyptian Theatre Box Office in advance online, in person, or over the phone.  Box office hours are Tuesday’s 2:00pm-6:00pm and Thursday’s 11:00am-3:00pm.  Lightwire Theater is a must-see theatrical experience for the entire family!
