Are you aware of music’s many therapeutic qualities?
In South Africa, drumming circles help orphans cope with the loss of parents and impoverished conditions. In that spirit of healing through music, Northwestern Medicine Hospice invite you to the annual “Transformation Through Rhythm,” at 2 p.m., February 24 at the Egyptian Theatre.
This FREE concert will feature the DeKalb High School Percussion Ensemble, the Northern Illinois University Percussion Ensemble, the Harambee African Percussion Ensemble, all in support of Hospice and its partner program in Knysna [nye’s-na (like Bill Nye’s “na”)], South Africa.
Event sponsored by: Northern Illinois University, Harambee Ensemble, DeKalb School District 428, WNIU/WNIJ and Global Partners in Care
