When the Egyptian Theatre first opened its doors in 1929 it was as a grand movie palace. However, there were many things that we have in 2019 that weren’t part of the theatre in 1929. One of the areas that weren’t part of the original theatre was a concessions stand. As we expand our theatre to add another missing item from 1929, air conditioning, we are also improving our concessions stand and bathrooms in order to better serve the over 40,000 patrons who visit the theatre every year.
Our goal of $15,000 today would be a major boost towards the completion of our new, not one, but TWO concessions stands. These funds would go directly towards a new popcorn machine!
