America’s Best Communities Town Hall Meeting

Thursday, Mar 24th, 2016 at 7:00 PM

Free & Open to the Public

Come learn about the DeKalb community volunteer’s efforts in the Frontier Communications America’s Best Communities competition.  Originally nearly 400 communities submitted to the competition.  Now down to only 15 communities, DeKalb is the only community in Illinois remaining in this national competition for a chance of winning $3 million to go towards community revitalization.

The local volunteers working on the plan will be present to provide an overview of the competition and the revitalization plan put together for DeKalb.  There are 7 projects that have been proposed and the project coordinator for each of the seven will be present as well.

After an overview the public will have a chance to ask questions of the volunteer team to get a better understanding of the plans.  Following the Q&A the local team will be available in the lobby for more detailed conversations on each of the projects and provide the public an opportunity to get involved with each project.
