The Egyptian Theatre Restoration Committee is planning to offer a lovely benefit luncheon to be held at the Kishwaukee Country Club on Friday, September 10, 2010, beginning at 12:30 p.m. By popular demand Barbara Rinella will return to offer an exciting program highlighting the life of “The Remarkable Lady Randolph Churchill.” Barbara Rinella was been in the DeKalb community in 2009 to share her dramatization of Albert Einstein, which brought outstanding remarks from the audience. Following the presentation audience members asked that she give us another program of an important female subject.
Barbara Rinella will bring to DeKalb her portrayal of Jennie Jerome Churchill who was a true-dazzler of the Gilded Age—beautiful, talented, ambitious, and passionate. The fascinating biography of this gorgeous American heiress is filled with romance, excitement, heartbreak, adventure and untold amounts of history. The most important part of her life, known to those of us in America, is that this gorgeous American heiress married into the renowned British dynasty and becomes an important star in British society and a recognized force in her famous son’s life.
Lady Randolph Churchill lived a life of difficult times, enduring loneliness, other loves, gossip and financial stress, but she continued through it all with courage, grace, and sparkling spirit. Barbara Rinella’s portrayal of this amazing life of Lady Randolph Churchill is a program sure to inform and delight everyone in attendance.
Tickets are $50.00 per person and can be purchased for the luncheon and the Barbara Rinella portrayal of Lady Randolph Churchill by sending your check for the number of reservations, attendees included in this payment ( 8 – 10 per table) or a single reservation by mailing your check with a list of who will be at your table to: Paula Bryner, 3444 Owens Lane, DeKalb, IL 60115, or by telephoning Paula at 815/754-0661.
